to the nuttiest, one-of-a-kind contest in cyberspace!
Lemme
'splain...
To date, I've had the supreme pleasure of interviewing well over
100 world renowned guitar players, many of whom have served as enduring
inspirations for yours truly! Well, ALL of these interviews still
exist on tape. Needless to say, in almost every case, the interview
content that made it to print is but a fraction of the actual conversation/chain
of events that occurred that day :)
In
this contest, you will have the opportunity to hear short excerpts
of these never-before-heard interview tapes—portions in which
the guitar celebrity is laughing (from subtle grunts,
to outright hysterical squeals)! These will be world-famous
pickers that most of you will surely know. You guess the laughter,
you win a CD. Sound simple? Maybe not, but it sure as heck will
be fun :)
Oh
yeah! The CD you'll win is (surprise) my latest offering, entitled
Interpretations—an
intimate recording of solo arrangements for acoustic guitar and
voice. It features 10 inventive versions of cover songs, ranging
from Queen's “Bohemian Rhapsody” and the Beach Boys' “God
Only Knows,” to Jimi Hendrix's “Castles Made of Sand”
and Harry Nilsson's “Coconut.” If you win a copy, please
let me know what you think! Now let's get to it...

stamped spot on our message board, making it easy to see who guessed
what when. Again, PLEASE register (at least using your actual
e-mail address). This way, the real winner can be notified at the
conclusion of each “guessing” phase. Every couple of weeks
I'll announce the winner (and who the celeb actually was), then
add a new laughter clip :)
