| I'm
a singer/songwriter under the name Seven Worlds. I come from Edinburgh,
Scotland and write melodic, thoughtful pop/rock songs. I
have been involved in music since 1998, when I was 18, and started
to learn guitar but soon became more interested in the songwriting
process. Since then I've written many songs, most recorded in my
bedroom on a 4-track in acoustic form. During the summer of 2002
I formed an acoustic duo and played some live open mic gigs around
Edinburgh though that was short-lived. At the start of 2003, with
some new home recording equipment and instruments, I set about re-recording
some of my older material in a fuller form. I also continued writing
new songs. My official website www.sevenworlds.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk
was put up in March 2003 and has given me a vehicle to promote my
music since I haven't been playing live. I started to attract attention
from a variety of places, including radio, and my song "Come & Go"
received some airplay on Manx Radio (Isle of Man) early 2003. In
January 2004 I released an EP called Head
Above Water which was the culmination of the songs I recorded
throughout 2003. It's a 6-track EP and features "Detached" and also
"Come & Go" and is available for purchase direct from my website. |
